Leptotrombidium (Leptotrombidium) xiaguanense Yu et Yang, sp. nov.(figs. 11-14)
Idiosoma of partly engorged larvae 308-391×238-284µ. Galeal seta plumose. Palpal formula N-N-BNN+7B. Scutum broadly rectangular, with markedly biconvex posterior margin. Sensillae filamentous, with 15-17 long branches on distal 2/3, proximal 1/3 with minute barbs. SB-PLs. AM>PL>AL. Dorsal setae 28 in number, arranged 2-8-6-6-4-2. Sternal setae 2-2. Ventral setae 32-36 in number. Legs with specialized setae as figured. Standard measurements: AW=75, PW=88, SB=38, ASB=31, PSB=20, AP=28, AN=59, AL=49, PL=53, Sn=76, HS=56, DS=46/53, VS=31/51, IP=845.
Holotype: larva, ex Apodemus agrarius chevrieri, from Yunnan, Nov., 1960. Paratypes: 7 larvae, collected from the same animal host of the holotype, on Nov., 1960 and Dec., 1975.
Close to L. (L.) zhongdianense, sp. nov., but different in shape and measurements of scutum, Tarsala I
