abstractTwo new species of genus Epimyodex Fain & Orts, 1969 (Acari, Prostigmata) are described from the loose deep connective subcutaneous tissues of mammals in Nederland: E. crocidurae sp.n. from Crocidura russula and E. microti sp.n. from Microtus arvalis. The genus is transferred from the Demodicidae into the Cloacaridae. A key is given to the three known species of the genus Epimyodex.
