| abstract | A new species of Laelaps (Acari: Laelapidae) belonging to the juxtapositus species-group, L. sulawesiensis, from Maxomys hellwaldi, M. musschenbroekii, Rattus hoffmanni and R. marmosurus collected in Sulawesi, Indonesia, is described.
