abstractFour new genera of mites found on the bodies of cerambycid beetles are assigned to the mite family Canestriniidae. Thopia is based on T. tenax spec, nov.; additional new species in this genus are T. bulbocaudata and T. pannucea. Chelinochroa is monotypic, basedon C. dictyophora spec. nov. Another monotypic genus is Anaspistes, with A. unguiculatus spec. nov. Phriknodora is established for P. pustulosa spec, nov., type, and P. scabra spec. nov. All of these genera are thought to be allied to Canestriniella Berlese 1910, also from cerambycids. A mite which we have identified as Canestriniella togata Berlese is here redescribed.
