Idiosoma oval, white in life, length 402.22µ, width 274.59µ. Gnathosoma length 95.53µ,width 93.59µ; Chelostyle apparently with tricuspid cap; galeal seta plumose; palpal setation N/N/bNN/7B; palpal claw trifurcate. Scutum subquadrate, PL leaf-like, sparsely serrate on its margin. AW 72.71, PW 88.95, SB 40.80, ASB 25.53, PSB 15.47, A-P 21.66, PL 67.30×6.96. Dorsal setae: 2-8-6-6-4-2-2=30; Ventral setae about 20; sternal setae 2-2; coxal setae 1-1-1. Length of legs including coxae being I 255.26µ, II 243.65µ, III 272.66µ. Specialized setae of legs as in fig.8.
Diagnosis: the new species, having the PL, DS and some VS in the shape of the leaf of Eucalyptus citriodora, is readily separable from the other species of the genus Trombiculindus.
Holotype: larva, ex Rattus edwardsi edwardsi, September, 12, 1973, Guangdong Province; deposited in the Provincial Station of Health and Epidemic Prevention, Guangdong. |
