abstractThe present paper deals with three species of Eriophyoidea, of which one is recorded for the first time from China and two are described as new to science. All type specimens, are deposited in the Nanjing Agricultural College.
1. Catarhinus sacchari, sp. nov. (figs. 1-5)
The new species closely allied to Catarhinus tricholaenea K., but distinguished by the following characters: admedian shield line incomplete, thanosome with 74-76 tergites and 92-94 sternites, featherclaws 9-rayed.
Holotype ♀ taken in May 1979, from Nanning, Guangxi, by Feng Yuan-bin. Paratypes 9♀♀, same as holotype. Host: Saccharum officinarum L.
2. Acarhynchus dendrocalami, sp. nov. (figs. 6-11).
The new species closely allied to Acarhynchus filamentus K., separated by following characters: shield design with incomplete median line, admedian line and submedian line; hindleg without patellar seta; thanosome with 17 tergites and without microtubercles; coverflap with 10-12 fine longitudinal ribs.
Holotype ♀, taken in November 1980, from Nanning, Guangxi, by Feng Yuan-bin. Host: Dendrocalamus giganteus Wallich. Paratypes 8 same as holotype.
3. Aculops lycopersici (Massee)
New record from China. Locality: Nanning, Guangxi. Collected on June 15, 1980, by Feng Yuan-bin. Host: Lycopersicum esculentum Mill.
