abstractThis paper reports a new species and a new record of the genus Pseudobonzia from Shanghai, China. All type specimens are deposited in the Department of Biology, Fudan University, Shanghai.
1. Pseudobonzia shanghaiensis, sp. nov. (figs. 1-7)
This species is closely related to P. themedae Den Heyer 1977, but can be distinguished from the latter by a number of features. The setation for basifemur I-IV is 5-6-5-2 (4-6-4-2 in P. themedae). The length of body is 607-621µ (324-403µ in P. themedae) The palp extends beyond the apex of the hypostome for a distance about two-thirds of the length of the tibiotarsus (the tibiotarsus is relatively shorter and broader, and extends beyond the apex of the hypostome for a distance about one-third of its length in P. themedae).
Holotyte ♀, paratypes 3♀♀, collected from soil on the campus of Fudan University, Shanghai, China, 12. XI 1981.
