| abstract | The present paper describes 3 new species of phytoseiid mites of, the genus Amblyseius Berlese. All of the type specimens are deposited in the Department of Biology, Fudan University, Shanghai, China.
1. Amblyseius heterochaetus, sp. nov. (fig. 1)
This species resembles Amblyseius brypphilus Karg, but differs from the latter in having different lengths of Z4, Z5 and other dorsal setae.
Holotype ♀, allotype ♂, paratypes 2♀♀, Mangshi (24.4°N, 98.6°E), Yunnan Province, 10-VII-1980, on Achyranthes bidentata.
2. Amblyseius daliensis, sp. nov. (fig. 2)
This spedes differs from A. tsugawai Ehara, A. charui Gupta, A. ishikawai Ehara, and A. meridionalis (Berlese) in lengths of setae s4, Z5 and Z4.
Holotype ♀, Dali (25.5°N, 100.2°E), Yunnan Province, 2-VII-1980, on Pteridium aquilinum.
3. Amblyseius ornatus, sp. nov. (fig, 3)
This spedes is similar to Amblyseius makuwa Ehara, but the length of seta Z4 is longer than the distance between the bases of Z4 and Z5, and seta S2 is much longer than j3.
Holotype ♀, Guiyang (26.6°N, 106.7°E), Guizhou Province, 14-VI-1980, on Aster sp. Paratypes: 1♀, Guiyang, Guizhou Province, 11-VI-1980, on Erigeron annuus; 1♂ 6♀♀, Lijiang (27°N, 100°E), Yunnan Province, 26-VI-1980, on Artemisia sp; 2♀♀, Xiaguan (25.5°N, 100°E), Yunnan Province, 1-VII-1980, on undetermined plant. |
