| abstract | A new genus, Dermadelema, is proposed, consisting of the type-species, Euschoengastia furmani (=Euschoengastoides sloomi, new synonymy), and 3 new species: Dermadelema mojavense, n. sp., holotype from Kern Co., California (type-host Dipodomys panamintinus); D. sleeperi, n. sp., holotype from Sonora, Mexico (type-host Dipodomys merriami); and D. lynnae, n. sp., holotype from San Bernardino Co., California (type-host Dipodomys merriami). The genus occurs throughout the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico. |
