| abstract | In this paper, a new species of the genus Amblyseius Berlese is described. The type specimens are kept in the Department of Biology, Jiangxi University.
Amblyseius lushanensis sp. nov. (figs. 1-8)
This new species is similar to Amblyseius makuwa, 1972 (Japan), but differs from the latter in the relative lengths of the dorsal idiosomal setae and the seta M2 longer than the distance between its base and of L9, and the tibia IV with one macroseta. It is also close to A. sugonjaevi Wainstein et Abbasova, 1974 (USSR), but is separable from the latter by the relative lengths of setae L9 and L4, and by the fixed digit of ehelicera with 5 teeth.
