| abstract | The two original species of Trichonyssus are redescribed: T. australicus (Womersley) from Chalinolobus gouldii (Gray) and T. womersleyi Domrow from C. gouldii and Miniopterus schreibersii Kuhl. Two new species are described: T. caputmedusae from Pipistrellus tasmaniensis (Gould) and T. solivagus from bat caves. All principal hosts are vespertilionid bats from Australia. |
