| abstract | This paper is the second part of a study on the oribatid soil fauna from Cardoso Island (Sâo Paulo State, Brazil). Fifteen species and subspecies are described or recorded, namely Teratoppia uspiensis Perez-Iñigo and Baggio, 1980; Brasiloppia flechtmanni n.g. et n.sp.; Beckiella arcta n.sp.; Galumna innexa n.sp.; Pergalumna decoratissima n.sp.; Pergalumna parva n.sp.; Pergalumna plumata n.sp.; Pergalumna aegra n.sp.; Pergalumna cardosensis n.sp.; Scheloribates artigasi Perez-Iñigo and Baggio, 1980; Scheloribates praeincisus rotundiclava n.ssp.; Scheloribates praeincisus acuticlava n.ssp.; Rostrozetes foveolatus Sellnick, 1925; Peloribates anomalus Perez-Iñigo and Baggio, 1980 and Mochlozetes sp. Keys have been introduced when it has been possible. All the descriptions of new species and subspecies are accompanied by drawings. A new figure of Teratoppia uspiensis is added in order to complete the description of this species. |
