| abstract | Carbodes dendroetus n.sp. is described. It is the first North American member of the genus found primarily in arboreal habitats that shows a preference for the bark and branches of conifers or hardwoods rather than rotten logs and leaf litter on the forest floor. It is distributed from Nova Scotia and New Brunswick south through New England and Pensylvania to western North Carolina. |
