| abstract | A new species of mite belonging to the genus Nodele Muma has been found on cultures of tropical bostrichid beetles (Dinoderus spp.) infesting dried cassava. The species, Nodele mu n. sp., is described from the female, heteromorphic and homomorphic males, deutonymph, protonymph and larva. The most distinctive feature of the adult is the M-shaped peritremes. The species is compared with other Nodele species, and a key to the females is given. |
