| abstract | This is the first report of the pteygosomatid mite genus Geckobia from Mexico. A new species is described from Chamela, State of Jalisco, on Phyllodactylus lanei rupinus Dixon, 1964, a lizard of the family Gekkonidae. Other specimens came from Canon del Sumidero, Chiapas, on Phyllodactylus tuberculosus magnus Taylor 1942. |
