abstractEviphis shaanxiensis Gu et Huang, sp. nov. (figs. 1-7)
Holotype ♀ collected on May 18, 1983, off Myospalax fontanieri Milne-Edwards, from Shanning County (33.5° N, 108.5° E), Shaanxi Province, deposited in the Sanitation and Anti-Epidemic Station of Shaanxi Province.
This new species is similar to Eviphis himalayaensis Ma et Piao, 1981, but it differs from the latter by the genito-ventral plate triangular in shape, with anterior portion pointed, and without platelets behind it; metasternal plate and endopodal plate fused together; metapodal plate larger and oval in shape.
Alliphis sinicus Gu et Bai, sp. nov. (figs. 8-16)
Holotype ♀ collected on May 8, 1985, from Zhongwei County (37.5° N, 105.1° E); allotype ♂ and paratypes 6♀♀, 2 deutonymphs collected on June 19, 1986, from Tongxin County (36.9° N, 105.9° E); and 6♀♀, 2♂♂ collected on July 1, 1987, from Haiyuan County (36.5° N, 105.6° E), Ningxia Autonomous Region. All collected off Aphodius sp. Except paratype 2♀♀, 1♂ deposited in the Department of Parasitology, Guiyang Medical College, all the type specimens are deposited in the Institute of Endemic Disease Control, Ningxia Autonomous Region.
This is the first record of Alliphis from China. The new species bearing 31 pairs of dorsal setae, that differs from all the known species of Alliphis which only 30 pairs of dorsal setae. The new species closely resembles Alliphis necrophilus Christie, 1983, but its idiosoma smaller, dorsal plate wider, sternal plate longer and spermatodactyl in different shape.
