| abstract | In this paper, Oribatids of the subfamily Oppiellinae Seniczak, 1975 from the Spanish juniper woods are studied. The genus Hypogeoppia Subias, 1981 and the subgenera Oppiella s.str. Jacot, 1937 and Oppiella (Perspicuoppia) C. Pérez-Inigo, 1971 are discussed. The new species Lauroppia tenuipectinata sp.nov. is described, and new contributions and discussion are made about the taxonomy, distribution and biology of the species: Oppiella (s.str.) nova (Oudemans, 1902) (with a list of new synonyms) and Oppiella (Perspicuoppia) perspicua (Mihelcic, 1956), and of the subspecies: Hypogeoppia terricola s.str. Subias, 1981 and Hypogeoppia terricola salmanticensis Morell (1987) stat.nov. Also the new name of Moritzoppia nom.nov. is given for Moritziella Balogh, 1983 nom.praeoc. by Moritziella Börner, 1908 (Hemiptera). |
