abstractIn this paper, a new genus and species of fat mites is described, the type specimens are deposited in the Department of Biology, Jiangxi University, (all measurements are given in micrometers).
Sinolardoglyphus gen. nov. (figs. 1,6).
The pectinations being particularly visible on the distal of ve, vi, sce and sci; sce and sci almost equal in length, setae d1 to d4 not so regularly arranged in linear series. The receptaculum seminis infundibular in shape. Legs I to IV of female with bifid claws.
Type species: Sinolardoglyphus nanchangensis sp. nov.
Sinolardoglyphus resembles Lardoglyphus but differs in the following characters:
Sinolardoglyphus: The setae sce and sci almost equal in length, but sci slightly longer than sce. Setae d1 to d4 not so regularly arranged in linear series. The receptaculum seminis infundibular in shape.
The claws divided distally into two parts.
Lardoglyphus: The setae sce longer than sci, d1 to d4 arranged in two longitudinal rows down to the middle of the idiosoma. The receptaculum seminis triangular in sbape. The claws divided from base into two parts.
Sinolardoglyphus nanchangensis sp. nov.
Female: Length of idiosoma 463.5-465, with the greatest width 298.7-309.
Dorsal: Lengths of setae vi 106.6, ve 65, they arising posterior to vi. sci 148.2-158, sce 137.8-143, they arising anterior to sci. d1 41.6-46.8, d2 117-135, d3 312-340, d4 288.4-299, sae 360.5-364, sai 319.3-312, hi 206-208, he 154.5-169, la 54.6-41.6 lp 234-226. Latero-opisthosomal gland with opening between la and lp.
Ventral (fig. 6): Two pairs of coxal setae (cx) inserted on the coxal regions of legs I and III. One pair of ventral setae humerals. Three pairs of genitals (g) surround the genital ogening (fig.9), the posterior pairs four times longer than the two anterior pairs, five pairs of setae surround the anal opening, a1 18.2-15.6, a2 26-23.4, a3 28.6-18.6, a4 15.6-192.4, a5 20.8-23.4, two pairs of postanals; pa1 234-312, pa2 345.8-369.2.
An additional opening, the bursa copulatrix also present at the posterior end of the body. It leading eventually into a receptaculum seminis.
Chelicerae (fig. 8): Fixed digit with 3 teeth, and movable digit with 6 teeth. Supra coxal with 8 lateral barbs (fig. 3). Internal view of right leg I of female (fig. 2), aa seta close to the famulus.
The number of setae and solenidia of the legs of 5. nanchangensis are shown in the text table (omitted).
Holotype ♀, 20. I. 1985. Nanchang (28°40ʼ N, 115°51ʼ E), Jiangxi Province, taken from sesame, by Z. T. Jiang; Paratype, ♀ 1, 15. I. 1985. other data same as for holotype.
