abstractOn this paper a new genus Ramonoppia (family Oppiidae) and a new species R. amparoae are described. The new species is characterized by: big dimensions, lentgh 430-468 µm width 180-216 µm; 14 pairs of notogastral setae with cilia on the terminal half, pair c2 incurved over its insertion, and it is slightly shorter than the rest of the notogastral setae; five pairs of genital setae, and pair ad3 in preanal position.
