| abstract | A new species of mites namely Ultratenuipalpus gonianaensis sp. nov. has been described and illustrated. A key to the species of Ultratenuipalpus is also given. Fourteen species of tenuipalpid mites have been recorded on new hosts. Brevipalpus rica Chaudhri and Tenuipalpus decus Chaudhri, Akbar & Rasool have been recorded for the first time from India and B. assamensis Sadana & Gupta, B. gauhatiensis Sadana & Gupta, B. solanensis Sadana & Gupta and B. tinsukiaensis Sadana and Gupta from Punjab. |
