abstractTwenty four species of the genus Aceria Keifer associated with plants of the genus Acacia are reviewed: 16 are from Africa and 3 are from Australia. Fourteen of the African species are new, viz. A. aechmaspus, A. liopeltus, A. spinosciae, A. nelensis, A. albidae, A. skukuzae, A. karrooi, A. transvaalensis, A. dictynus, A. leptum, A. bosforus, A. potamius, A. amnicolus, A. niloticae and A. calidensis. One new species, A. acacifloris, is described from Australia. Eight known species, namely A. arabicae Meyer from Africa and A. burnleya Keifer and A. falciformis Keifer, from Australia, A. acaciae (Nalepa) and A. phylloperthus (Nalepa) from Java, A.morrisi (Nalepa) from the West Indies, A. indiensis Meyer from India and A. rosascostae Keifer from Chile are defined. A key to these species is provided.
