| abstract | Thirteen new species of the genus Eriophyes are described and figured. These are: E. maesae, E. quadrifidus, E. mimusi, E. mitis, E. inermae, E. afroensis, E. wezaensis, E. qwaqwanus, E. latifoli, E. myrica, E. emhlopei, E. ixopoensis and E. lonchocarpi.
Two economically important species, E. mali Burts and E. pyri (Pagenstecher) are defined.
