The new species is similar to Eviphis himalayaensis Ma et Piao, 1981, however there are differences between them: Idiosoma oval in shape, measuring 570×440µm. Dorsal setae 28 pairs in number, seta I absent, Sc slender and shorter than M, V and S, D3 stouter and longer than other DʼS. MSt and VI shorter and stouter than St1-3, and St2 the longest. Geniti-ventral plate concaved laterally, and its posterior end expanded.
Holotype ♀, collected on 28. V. 28. 1985, off Microtus oeconomus pallas, from Jiuzhi County (32.3° N, 101.1° E), Qinghai Province, deposited in the Research Institute of Endemic Disease Control, Qinghai Province.
