abstractEpidamaeus ibericus sp. nov. is described from northern Spain. This species was found in moss, litter and soil from beech [Fagus], and eucalyptus [Eucalyptus] and pine [Pinus] forests. Its main features are: female body length 570-660 µm, width 354-410 µm and male body length 491-580 µm, width 290-350 µm; very small notogastral spinae adnatae; one pair of prodorsal apophysis (Da); apophysis S2 as a tuberle with a square apex and flagellate sensillus; femoral setation (I to IV) 7-6-5-5; tarsal setation 20(2)-17(2)-17-14.
