Описан второй случай полового диморфизма среди Ceratozetoidea. Самцы Xiphobates callipygis, в отличие от самок, имеют каудальный вырост на нотогастре, где расположены поровые поля A3, скульптуру покровов в виде поперечных складок между поровыми полями A1 и A2, необычную, близкую к треугольной, форму поровых полей A3, которые сомкнуты друг с другом.
