This paper is the first study on thesoil oribatid fauna of Minorca (Balearic Islands). Fifty-two species of oribatid mites have been collected from four localities of Minorca. One genus, three species and one subspecies are described: Ctenobelba parafoliata n.sp., Minoricoppia balearica n.g., n.sp., Pergalumna minoricana n.sp. and Corynoppia kosarovi maritima n.ssp. Steganacarus (Tropacarus) brevipilus (Berlese, 1923) is the first record for Spain.
