| abstract | This paper reports five species of the genus Chanteius of the subfamily Chantiinae (Phytoseiidae) from South China. Two new species, Chanteius guangdongensis n. sp. and Chanteius hainanensis s. sp., are described and illustrated. The other three species known from South China, Chanteius contiguus (Chant), Chanteius separatus (Wu & Li), and Chanteius tengi (Wu & Li) are redescribed. A key to species of the genus Chanteius is given. |
