abstractFive new species of Phytoseiidae are described: Chileseius paracamposi n. sp., Amblyseius josephi n. sp., A. fragosoi n. sp., A. belizensis n. sp. and Cydnodromella barretoae n. sp. Three of these species were collected in Belize, one in Costa Rica and one in Chile. Cydonodromella barretoae has a previously unknown dorsal setal pattern, 11D:6B. Four of the five new species belong to the subfamily Amblyseiinae Berlese and the fifth to the subfamily Cydnodromellinae Chant and Yoshida-Shaul.
