abstractHistiostoma unidentatum n.sp. (Acari, Histiostomatidae) is described from adult and deutonymphal stages. Adults were found in a laboratory culture of Drosophila bipectinata imported from Thailand and the hypopi were collected from the adult flies. Hypopi of the same species were also found from Drosophila melanogaster from Australia
