abstractThe acarofauna (Acari) of five nests of two species of Sea Birds (Eudyptula minor albosignata and Pachyptila turtur) from New Zealand is studied. Four new species, one new subspecies and one new genus of mites were found and are described: Sejus novaezealandiae n.sp., Liponyssoides eudyptulae n.sp., (Mesostigmata) and Glycyphagodes spheniscicola n.g., n.sp., Blomia thori novaezealandiae n.subsp. and Myianoetus antipodus n.sp. (Astigmata).
