| abstract | In the present paper a description of four new species of basic oppiid-like taxa, Suctoribates crassisetosus n. sp., Tecteremaeus cachoeirensis n. sp., Sternoppia brasiliensis n. sp., and Striatoppia silvĂcola n. sp. is given, including a discussion on their systematical position. Furthermore an attempt is made to characterize the basic group of higher Oribatei, to which these taxa have to be incorporated. |
