abstractThe present paper deals with a new species of the genus Vulgarogamasus. All type specimens are deposited in the Institute of Endemic Diseases Control, Ningxia Autonomous Region.
Vulgarogamasus haiyuanensis sp.nov. (figs. 1-6)
The new species is near to Vulgarogamasus burchanensis (Oudemans, 19039, but differs from it in: 1) dorsal shield larger, anterior dorsal shield 493 µm long × 604 µm wide, posterior dorsal shield 430 µm long × 610 µm wide; 2) the anterior dorsal shield bearing 22 pairs of setae, posterior dorsal shield bearing 19-25 pairs of setae; 3) the palp femur seta al comb-like, genus setae al1-2 spoon-like; 4) sternal shield with anterior margin slightly reticulated.
Holotye ♀, paratypes 6♀♀ were collected on June 6, 1989, from a nest of Citellus alaschanicus Büchner in Haiuan County (35.5° N, 105.6° E), Ningxia Autonomous Region, by Bai Xue-li.
