| abstract | Samples from coral reef platforms in the Archipel Tioman, eastern coast of Malaysia, contained three species of Copidognathus, viz. C. bavayi (Trouessart), C. dictyotus sp.n. and C. malaysius sp.n. C. bavayi is redescribed, it is closely related to C. australensis Lohmann and C. peregrinus Bartsch, both from the Indo-Pacific region. C. dictyotus belongs to the tricorneatus group, else recorded from the Atlantic and Pacific Ocean. C. malaysius is a member of the curassaviensis group which is spread in the tropics. |
