abstractA description of E. diacheiliae sp.n. parasitizing a carabid beete Diacheila polita Fald. from Magadan region, Russian Federation, from closely related representative of the "acanthomus" group it differs by shape and position of ventral setae 1a, 2a and the shape of sternal apodeme in female, reduced ventral setae in males and spinelike ventral setae 1a and 2a in larvae. Type material is deposited in the State Nikita Botanical Garden (Yalta). An extended redescription of E. acanthomus Reg. based on material from the Crimea is given.
