abstractEuryparasitus laxiventralis sp. nov. (figs. 1-6)
Holotype ♀ was collected off Rattus norvegicus Berkenhout, in Nov. 1988, from Sinan County (27°57ʼ N, 108°15ʼ E), Guizhou Province, and deposited in the Department of Parasitology, Medical School, Nanjing University.
The new species is closely near Euryparasitus changanensis Gu et Huang, but differs from the latter in: 1) the idiosoma widest at the posterior 2/5, while in the latter species at the middle portion; 2) the posterior margin of sternal plate concave, but irregular and flat in the latter species; 3) the anterior and posteric-lateral margins of ventri-anal plate concave, while in the latter species the anterior margin flat and posteriolateral margin arc-shapedl 4) the lateral sides of the tectum smooth, that of the latter species with small teeth.
