abstractIn this paper two new spedies of the the genus Eurytetranychus are described and figured. The type specimens are deposited in the Department of Biology, Jiangxi University.
Eurytetranychus wuyishanensis sp.nov. (fgs. 1-4)
This new species is similar to E. recki Bagdasarian (1948), but differs from the latter in the following characters: Tarsus I with 17 tactiles and 1 solenidion, tibia I with 6 tactiles and 1 solenidion; tarsus II with 13 tactiles and 2 solenidia, tibia II with 6 tactiles. This new species is also similar to E. shenyangensis Yin, Lu et Lan (1987), but differs from the latter in the following characters: Tarsus III and IV each with 10 tactiles and 1 solenidion. The numbers of setae on legs I-IV: tibiae 7-6-6-6, genua 4-4-2-2, femora 5-5-3-2.
Holotype ♀, Sept. 23, 1988, Wuyi Mountains (27°56ʼ N, 117°48ʼ E), Jiangxi Province, by Hu Siqin, on Castanea mollissima Bl.
Eurytetranychus cyclobalanopsis sp.nov. (figs. 5-8)
This new species is similar to E. japonicus Ehara (1980), but differs from the latter in the following characters: The dorsal setae very long; the second dorsocentral hysterosomals spine-shaped.
Holotype ♀, Oct. 27, 1988, Lichuan (27°18ʼ N, 116°54ʼ E), Jiangxi Province, by Hu Siqin and Hou Peihua, on Cyclobalanopsis glauca Thunb. Paratypes 2♀♀ and 1 nymph, same as for holotype.
