| abstract | In this paper, two families, twelve genera, four subgenera, forty-eight species and three subspecies, are recorded, for the first time, from Spain. Moreover, every treated taxa is commented by taxonomic and biogeographical viewpoints. We give also three new names: Cosmochthonius (Nanochthonius) n.nom. to Cosmochthonius (Microchthonius) Kahwash, Subías & Ruíz, 1989 nom. praeoc., Oribatella willmanni n.nom. to Oribatella meridionalis "sensu" Willmann, 1931 and Lauritzenia (Incabates) similis n.nom. to Lauritzenia (Incabates) sinuatus "sensu" Gil & Subías, 1993. |
