| abstract | The present paper deals with three new species of the genus Leptotrombidium.The types are deposited in the Research Institute of Endemic Disease Control, Qinghai Province.
Leptotrombidium (Leptotrombidium) bayanensis sp.nov. (figs. 1-5)
Body orange, engorged larvae 533.3(500-590)×390(300-490), unengorged 450(450-450)×313(280-370). Gnathosoma: Galeal seta branched. Palpal seta formula N.N.BNN/7B. Palpal claw 3-pronged. Scutum broadly rectangular, PW/SD=2.07, posterior margin biconcave. Sensillae with 15 long branches on distal 1/2, proximal with minute barbs. PL-SB, PL~AM>AL. Dorsal setae 50-61 in number, branches short and broad and spinal shaped, arranged as 2.18(20).14(15).10(10).8(8).4(4).2. Ventral setae 43-59 in number. Standard measurements: AW 82.5 PW 93.3 SB 39.3 ASB 25.8 PSB 19 AP 22.5 AM 60 AL 42.5 PL 60.8 HS 60 Sn 73.3 SC 45 IP=837.
Holotype and 7 paratypes collected off Microtus oeconomus Pallas, June 7, 1985, from Jiuzhi County (32°3ʼ N, 101°1ʼ E), Qinghai Province.
Leptotrombidium (Leptotrombidium) huangchuanensis sp.nov. (figs. 6-9)
Body orange, engorged larvae 436.6(430-440)×330(320-35), unengorged 290-230. Gnathosoma: Galeal seta branched. Palpal seta formula N.N.BNN/7B, palptibia seta with 5-6 branches. Palpal claw 3-pronged. Scutum broad rectangular, PW/SD=1.71, the middle of posterior margin almost straight. Sensillae with 15 long branches on distal 1/2, proximal with minute barbs. SB/PLs, AM>PL>AL. Dorsal setae 64-70 in number, arranged as 2.14(20).2.14(16).12(12).10(10).6(6).4(4).2. Ventral setae 62-75 in number, Standard measurements AW 80.8 PW 90.8 SB 34.8 ASB 34 PSB 19 AP 34 AM 55 AL 48.3 PL 53.3 HS 54 Sn 85 SC 50 IP=922.

Body orange, engorged larvae 540×400, unengorged 350×280. Gnathosoma: Galeal seta branched. Palpal seta formula N.N.BNN/7B, palptibia seta with 2-3 branches. Palpal claw 3-pronged. Scutum broad rectangular, PW/SD=1.88, posterior margin rounded. Sensillae with 13 long branches on distal 1/2, proximal with minute barbs. SB/PLs, AM>PL>AL. Dorsal setae 68-74 in number, arranged as 2.22(24).16(18).12(14).10(10).4(4).2. Ventral setae 69 (59-74) in number, Standard measurements.
