Sinoseius Bai et Gu, gen.nov.
Ameroseiidae. Medium mites. Single dorsal plate bearing 29 pairs of leaf-like setae, its margin deeply branched. Apotele 3 tined. Crniculi divided distally into 2 prcesses. Female with anal plate; 33 setal pairs on sternal plate and 1 setal pair on genital plate. Genu II with one pl seta.
Type species: Sinoseius lobatus gen. et sp.nov.

Holotype ♀ was collected on Apr. 23, 1991, off Cricetulus longicaudatus Milne-Edwards, from Haiyuan County (36.5° N, 105.6° E), Ningxia Autonmous Region by Bai Xue-li and Fang Lei, deposited in the Institute of Endemic Disease Control, Ningxia Autonomous Region. |
