| abstract | The genus Neoseiulella Muma is revised to include species with the same dorsal chaetotaxy as Typhlodromus Scheuten (Denmark, 1992), except S5 is present. Species with 3 pairs of sternal setae and 3 pairs of preanal setae are placed in the nominate subgenus Neoseiulella Muma. The 9 species illustrated, redescribed, and included in this subgenus are: N. nesbitti (Womersley), N. novaezealandiae (Collyer), N. dachanti (Collyer), N. manukae (Collyer), N. cottieri (Collyer), N. corrugata (Schicha) comb. nov., N. oleariae (Collyer) comb. nov., N. ashleyae (Chant and Yoshida-Shaul) comb. nov., and N. elaeocarpi (Schicha and OʼDowd) comb. nov. Neoseiulella glenfieldensis (Schicha) is proposed as a junior synonym of Neoseiulella manukae (Collyer).
Species with 2 or 3 pairs of sternal setae and 4 pairs of preanal setae are placed in the subgenus Typhloctona Muma.
