abstractThe larvae of two species of the genus Durenia Vercammen-Grandjean (1955) (Acari: Trombellidae) are recorded for the first time from Papua New Guinea. One is Durenia singaporensis Vercammen-Grandjean and Audy (1959), described from Aedes curtipes from Singapore and only known from this locality; the second one is Durenia papuana n.sp. taken from Acropsilus sp. (Diptera. Dolichopodidae) from Madang Province, Papua New Guinea.
