| abstract | Four new species of Podapolipoides are described from Africa and Madagascar: P. andrei from Oxya humeralis from Madagascar, P. faini from Gastrimargus africanus from Madagascar, P. volkovskyi from Cyrtacanthacris tatarica from Kenya and from a locust from Abercorn, Zambia and P. lavoipierrei from Morphacris fasciatus from Natal, S. Africa and Gastrimargis africanus from Angola. Podapolipoides (Podapolipus) locustanus is redescribed and a lectotype is created. All hosts are Acrididae (Orthoptera). Keys to Podapolipoides of Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Madagascar are included. |
