The new species is very similar to Cosmolaelaps miles (Berlese, 1882), but may be distinguished by the characters as shown in the following table [omitted].
Holotype ♀, paratypes 12♀♀, off Cricetulus barabensis (Pallas), other paratypes 2♀♀, off Cricetulus triton (de Winton), from Qianguoerluos Mongolian Autonomous County (45°N, 125°E), Jinlin Province. Apr.-Aug., 1974. Type specimens are deposited in the First Institute of Endemic Disease Research, Jinlin Province. |
