| abstract | Three new species of Parasitinae are described in the present paper and named separately in honour of Chinese acarologists Profs. TENG Kuo-fan, WANG Dun-qing and MENG Yang-chun for their outstanding contributions in acarological studies.
All type specimens of the three new species were collected in the nest of Mus musculus Linnaeus under haystack, from Qianguoerluos Mongolian Autonomous County (45° N,125° E), Jilin Province, June 1977; deposited in the National Base of Plague and Brucellosis Control (Baicheng City, Jilin Province).
1. Parasitus tengkuofani sp.nov. (figs. 1-21)
The new species is similar to Parasitus distinctus Berlese, 1903, but in female it differs from the latter in the interior concavity of metasternal plate narrow and deep; the circle of genital region smooth, behind which the folds in longitudinal lines.
Holotype ♀, allotype ♂, paratypes 5♀♀, 1♂ and 40 deutonymphs.
2. Parasitus wangdunqingi sp.nov. (figs. 22-42)
The new species resemble Parsitus consanguineus Oudemans et Voigts, 1904, but in its female with 4 blunt spines in the vaginal cavity, and the basket-shaped structure bearing 2-4 teeth at anterior margin.
Holotype ♀, allotype ♂, paratypes 5♀♀, 2♂♂ and 40 deutonymphs.
3. Parasitus mengyangchunae sp.nov. (figs. 43-62)
The new species is near to Parasitus diviortus (Athias-Henriot, 1967), but differs as follows: tectum as in figs. 47, 54 and 61; setae al on palpfemur and al1, and al2 on palpgenu with many branches; in the female, genital region with one pair of hook-shaped structure (in vaginal cavity), a row of small teeth and a great deal of fine grains (on genital plate); with 2 pairs of greater plates and 2 pairs of small sclerits situated in the presternal region; the posterior dorsal plate triangular, contracted rapidly backwards.
Holotye ♀, allotype ♂, paratypes 26♀♀, 2♂♂ and 9 deutonymphs |
