| abstract | The paper presents the discovery of three new species of podapolipid mites on insects in Tamil Nadu, India. They are Podapolipus nitidulae sp. nov., Podapolipoides hopperae sp. nov. on grass-hoppers and Tarsopolipus ramakrishnai sp. nov. on dung roller beetles, which are described and figures are given. The mites are presumably parasitic on the host insects and are compared with related species. |
