| abstract | The taxonomic status of the genus Grenieria GAUD & MOUCHET revised. Grenieria simplex (TROUESSART, 1886) and Grenieria tyroglyphina (TROUESSART & NEUMANN, 1888) are redescribed. Five new species are described: Grenieria megachelata sp. n. from Sterna caspia, G. bicaudata sp. n. from Anous stolidus, G. ceruleae sp. n, from Procelsterna cerulea, G. phaetusae sp. n. from Sterna simplex, G. dolosimplex sp. n. from Gelochelidon nilotica. Grenieria tigrina GAUD, 1976 is synonymized with C. simplex (TROUSSART, 1886). |
