abstractThe present paper deals with two new species of the genus Arrenurus from China. The type specimens are deposited in Guizhou Agricultural College. All measurements are in µm.
Arrenurus (Arrenurus) bilobatus sp. nov. (Figs. 1-6)
This very distinctive species which is exceptionally similar to A. wucabus Cook 1980, only in petiole does not seem to have any close relatives. The diagnostic characters of the new species are as follows: a row of setae on each side of dorsal part of maleʼs genital-wing; a few fine veins on the hyaline extension of the petiole; in female, the seta of dorsal glandularia 3 pegliked.
Holotype ♂, paratypes 2♂♂, 6♀♀, May 12, 1987, from Huaxi River, Guiyang City (26°4ʼ N, 106°6ʼ E), Guizhou Province; paratype 1♀, Oct. 26, 1990, from paddy field in Leishan Cunty (26°3ʼ N, 108°0ʼ E), Guizhou Province, by the author.
Arrenurus convexus sp. nov. (Figs. 7-9)
This is a very distinctive species which does not seem to be close to any known species of the genus but A. rouxi Walter, 1935 slightly. It differs from all the latter, in female, as follows: the shape of body; the location of glandularia between eyes and of the setae of dorsoglandularium; very developed posterior corners of the IV coxae projecting and the number and distribution of the setae on the genital field.
Holotype ♀, 1.Vll.1990, from paddy field in the suburbs of Changsha City (28°2ʼ N, 112°9ʼ E), Hunan Province, by the author.
