| abstract | Male and female adults of Amoenacarus dixiensis gen. nov., sp. nov., are described based on specimens collected from stream pools in the southeastern United States of America. Amoenacaridae fam. nov. is proposed as a new family of Arrenuroidea based on striking autapomorphies in the shape of the idiosoma and structure of the tibiae and tarsi of the fourth pair of legs in males. |
