abstractA new genus and 3 new species of mites (Acari) represented by their deutonymphal or larval stages phoretic on small Diptera collected in Thailand, are described, i.e. Uroseius (Uroseius) grootaerti sp. n. (Mesostigmata: Uropodina) represented by a single deutonymph phoretic on Dohrniphora caini Disney, 1990 (Phoridae) and Thaitrombidium g.n. (Prostigmata: Trombidiidae: Paputrombidiinae) represented by the larvae of 2 new species, Thaitrombidium ephydricola sp. n. and T. satunense sp. n., both from Hecamedoides granifera Thomson (Ephydridae). A new tribe Thaitrombidiini tr.n. is created for the genus Thaitrombidium.
