abstractA study was conducted on the biodiversity of predatory acarines in different agro ecosystems of various districts in Kerala state. The study revealed the occurence of many species of predatory fauna under the family Phytoseiidae inhabiting different flora under varied ecological conditions. Out of these, five new species viz., Amblyseius apocynae sp.nov., A. pseurdorientalis [sic!] sp.nv., A. rubiae sp.nov., A. apocynaevagrans sp. nv. and A. keralensis [sic!] sp.nov. are described.
